Taste of Bartow to Benefit George W. Harris Youth Shelter
With the generous support of our sponsors and help of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers, YFA staff and guidance from our Board of Directors and Leadership Councils, Youth and Family Alternatives runaway and youth crisis shelters conducts an annual 5K Run with proceeds directly benefiting our shelter programs.
YFA invites you, your family, friends and neighbors to participate as a runner, walker, volunteer or sponsor of one of our 5K fundraising events. Proceeds benefit our runaway and homeless youth shelters and the hundreds of at-risk youth served each year in these short-term residential programs.
RAP River Run, June 10, 2017
The 10th annual RAP River Run will at Sims Park in downtown New Port Richey on Saturday, June 10, 2017. This signature 5K Run has become a much anticipated 5K event and expands each year in regards to number of participants and activities for kids and adults. Runners and walkers travel a certified 5K course along the beautiful Pithlachascotee River. There is also a “Fun Run” for kids. Runners and walkers are treated with lots of food courtesy of local restaurants; trophies and cash awards for top finishers; and merchandise from local vendors all in a festive and fun-filled environment.
