Will follow the stages identified by Families First in an effort to identify family members and work to build relationships with children in care that may result an ongoing bond with family members and hopefully placement and permanency. He/She must have highly complex job skills; clinical expertise in substance abuse, mental health and domestic violence issues; advanced verbal and written communication skills; the ability to work as a team member; a wide range of internal and external relationships; a high level of autonomy; the ability to adapt and function effectively as both a leader and a contributing team member and the ability to conceptualize strategically to assure the appropriate programmatic response to identifiable needs. This professional will work in a fast- paced environment and must possess the ability and skills to make competent and timely decisions regarding the disposition of referrals and assessments with the primary focus being the safety and well being of children.
