Youth and families are eligible for Family Help program services if a child is threatening to run away or
has run away, is beyond parental control, or is truant from school or at risk for these behaviors.
Other Criteria for the Family Help Program:
- Child is not dependent or parents/guardians are not under investigation for an allegation of abuse and/or neglect
- Child is not being supervised by the Department of Juvenile Justice
Services are provided to families on a voluntary basis, except in the case of truancy referrals by the local
school system. Services include but are not limited to, assessment, individual, family, and group counseling, case management and referrals. Fees for services are based on a sliding scale but no family
will be denied services based on an inability to pay.
