YFA's Citrus County Adoption Services Program will celebrate National Adoption Day this Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at the Citrus County Courthouse (110 N Apopka Ave, Inverness, FL 34450).
The program works in partnership with Kid's Central, Inc. to ensure children and youth available for adoption find their "forever family." The program plans to finalize at least 9 adoptions during the ceremony. You may see children available for adoptions at their Adoption Spots website.
YFA has provided adoption services in Central Florida since 2005 and provided "forever families" for over 2,700 children and youth.
According to their website, "National Adoption Day is a collective national effort to raise awareness of the more than 110,000 children in foster care waiting to find permanent, loving families. A coalition of national partners – Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, The Alliance for Children’s Rights and Children’s Action Network – sponsor National Adoption Day."
